Let's grow together - Round closed
Congratulations to Boulcott School in Lower Hutt who have become our first Grow together community garden partner.
The next round of applications will open in early August 2025 for Taranaki and Hawke's Bay.
Grow Together is a community initiative that supports schools to create edible gardens; spaces where students can grow their own kai, learn about sustainability, and explore future-focused energy solutions like biogas and biomethane.
By connecting hands-on learning with conversations about food, waste, and renewable energy, Grow Together helps young Kiwi understand the role they can play in creating a more sustainable future.
What's in a garden?
Community gardens don’t just grow veggies—they also create organic waste that can break down naturally to produce biogas. By supporting school gardens, we’re helping communities learn about biogas and how it can become renewable energy for our homes.
